THE OLIVE OIL EXPERIENCE
Let our chef in cooperation with the “Olive Oil Experience” team take you on a journey to discover the “green gold” of Greece. This two-part, 2.5-hour experience educates participants on discerning high-quality olive oil from defective varieties, understanding its health benefits and gastronomic value, and appreciating the diversity of Greek olive oil. The first part includes sensory evaluations and tasting methods, while the second part pairs six different olive oil varieties with a unique six-course degustation menu featuring fresh ingredients from the restaurant’s organic garden.
Participants will gain insights into the significance of extra virgin olive oil in the Mediterranean diet, the differences between olive oil and seed oils, and the impact of various olive varieties on food flavor. The experience includes a detailed presentation of the olive oil producers’ stories and combines olive oil tasting with a gastronomic meal tailored to dietary preferences. This educational and flavorful experience is a must for any visitor to Santorini interested in the magic of Greek cuisine and the rich culture of the olive, it is available for a semi-private session of a maximum of 6 guests at 230 euros per person and includes the tasting of 6 different olive oils paired with a delicious 6-course lunch (excl. beverages).
