Day 1
Noon
Morning – Noon
Arrival in Santorini. Our driver waits at the airport or port holding a sign with your name on it. You are offered a set of cold refreshing towels after the long trip to Santorini and some fresh water as you enter our luxurious Mercedes sedan. In a 30 minutes’ drive you are finally there! Your experience in Santorini begins!
Don’t worry about check in formalities! Our Front Desk team welcomes you with a big smile and gives you a tour around the hotel. Try a delicious welcome Signature Sangria and enjoy lunch by the pool.
Your beautiful suite is ready.
It is time to change to your swimming suit and return to the pool for a couple of hours of sun tanning and cocktail “drinking”. You did love this Sangria right?
Your dream vacation has officially started!
Afternoon
You are all relaxed after spending half day by the pool. After a few energizing cocktails by the pool and now already all relaxed after the trip it is time to explore.
Start for an afternoon stroll into the marble path of Oia straight to the sunset point. This is your first time exploring the island so wander the colorful narrow paths of the town and look for all the hidden gems. Pass by the beautiful blue dome churches in the centre of Oia and make sure you take a photo with this landscape in the background.
Evening
Into the strolls of Oia it is time to try your first glass of Santorini wine. Try dinner in one of the finest wine bar bistorts in Oia and pair your dinner with some delicious local inspired courses. If you are looking for something more authentic go for one of the few tapas/meze places. Our concierge desk will help you with recommendations and dinner reservations.
After dinner make sure you pass by the hotel’s bar or the lounge area under the stars and enjoy a couple of cocktails listening to the music.
Day 2
Morning
It is your first full day! Canaves Oia breakfast is an experience by itself. Relish the moment with a delicious breakfast early in the morning and start your day. Today it is the day of sailing. The sailing cruise to the hot springs and the beaches of Santorini is a MUST experience. Try the morning as you have more time on the beaches, swimming and snorkeling.
Early Afternoon
After an amazing 5 hour sunset cruise it is time to relax. A unique experience at Canaves Oia would not be complete without a relaxing visit to a transformed 17th Century Grotto Style Spa. The refined atmosphere of Santorini and majestic aura of Aegean is the perfect scenery for an unforgettable spa experience. You can enjoy your Spa treatment with your partner or alone. Evening
Feeling now all rested, you are now back in the privacy of your own suite. Spend the night in one of the hotel’s restaurants.
Canaves Oia has different themed events planned the majority of the dates of the week so it is the time to enjoy a glass of wine and the gastronomic creations of our chef’s cuisine while enjoying the amazing Caldera views.
TIP: White wine lovers should try Nychteri or the Assyrtiko and if you are drinking Red try Mavrotragano! The best choice after dinner is a glass of Vinsanto, the island’s signature dessert wine.
When back to your suite enjoy one of the daily sweet surprises left with turn down service, see the stars from the privacy of your balcony before lying on your bed.
Day 3
Morning
Sleep in and enjoy the comfort of your bed. Try the room service breakfast. There is nothing better than waking up in the privacy of your balcony to two glasses of champagne and a breakfast based on fresh local ingredients prepared and as per your own personal preferences.
Noon
Around mid-day take the hotel’s driver for a 4-5 hour tour around the island. Explore from north to south one of the traditional villages such as Pyrgos or Emporeio, visit one of the local wineries and try some wine tasting and have lunch in one of the local places. If you have some time visit the Archaeological site of Akrotiri.
On your way back to Oia make a stop to Fira for some shopping, in the village of Imerovigli for some photos or spend a half day by the beaches in the south.
TIP: Visit Fira, the main centre of the island preferably in afternoon. Mornings can be busy and crowded.
Return to the hotel and relax in the privacy of your suite or by the pool.
Evening
Leave the evening dinner reservation open. Take advantage of any local festivities or must dos in the period you are travelling. Our concierge desk can make a last minute reservation for you upon arrival or the same morning. Make the most of your day without having to worry about the night as Canaves Oia will always make sure you have the best possible table.
Day 4
Morning
Wake up to the beautiful views and enjoy breakfast in your patio or by the pool.
It is the perfect day to do the hike from Oia to Fira one morning. Our suggestion is to take a taxi to Fira early with the sunrise and walk towards Oia. More downhill and less warm. Hike takes about 3 hours and you will want to relax after that. You will be back in the hotel by noon.
TIP: Ask for our “hike kit”, all you need is water, sneakers and a hat but we can prepare a special basket with some breakfast and coffee for the early risers.
Noon
It is the time to literally spend the day by the pool and do nothing. You have seen the most of the island already and you should lay back and relax.
Some Spa, Lunch by the pool, a nice book and some great cocktails is the best day to spend half day and after the adventurous morning walk.
Evening
Spend the night in one of the great tapas places in Oia or try visiting one of the nearby villages for a nice romantic dinner.
After dinner make sure you pass by the hotel’s bar or the lounge area under the stars and enjoy a couple of cocktails listening to the music.
Day 5
Morning
By now you have understood that breakfast is a ritual here in Greece. We are here to adapt to your needs and customize your breakfast to your preferences. Surprise your other half with a birthday dessert or morning flowers any day but this would definitely be the best day to do so!
Noon
Take a taxi down to Oia’s fishing port and with a complimentary tender visit one of the most remote places, the picturesque Armeni, Oia’s older fishing port of Santorini. Spend half day by the sea swimming, sun tanning and trying the most fresh and seafood on the island.
After a great lunch and a great, fun few hours return to the hotel either by the tender or horseback riding up the 300 steps to Oia.
Evening
It is your last evening in beautiful Santorini and you can either have dinner in the hotel or try one of the local restaurants.
